Who is this book actually for?
Anyone who earns, spends, or is about to. It's written with people entering adulthood especially in mind — final-year students, university students, young professionals — but the questions it asks don't expire. Plenty of readers in their forties have said it landed harder than they expected.
Is it suitable for a 17-year-old?
Yes, absolutely. It's written to be read, not studied — the reading level is accessible from primary school upwards, so a Year 12 student will have no trouble with the language while still meeting ideas worth wrestling with.
Is this a finance book? Will it tell me what to invest in?
No. There are no spreadsheets, no budgeting templates, and no stock tips. It's a Christian exploration of what money and work are for — though it gets practical about debt, spending, generosity, and big commitments like buying a house.
Is it theological or practical?
Both, deliberately. Every chapter is grounded in Scripture and every chapter lands somewhere you can actually act. It's a pastor's book, not an academic one.
